Of all the burger recipes out there, this bun-less burger gives you an absolutely guilt-free experience.These Patties are made of a lower carb meal packed with nutrients, so delicious that you’ll forget buns even exist! Serve them over a bed of crispy lettuce orsandwich them between 2 lettuce with vegetables and sauces. 
I made a Quinoa, Black Beans and Corn Patties” along with a whole lot of other ingredients which is packed with flavor and extremely healthy. 
These burgers might look like a light meal, but they are deceptively filling.

Ingredients for Quinoa, Black Beans and Corn Patties

  • 1 cup red quinoa (cooked) 
  • 1 cup black beans   
  • 1 cup cooked corn   
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper chopped 
  • 1/2 cup onions chopped  
  • 2jalapeños chopped 
  • 1/2 tsp crushed ginger  
  • 1/2 tsp crushed garlic  
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped 
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped  
  • 1 tsp cumin powder 
  • 1 tsp paprika 
  • tsps 1emon juice 
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs  
  • 1/4 cup plain flour 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • tbsps Avocado oil (for frying patties) 

Ingredients for Cilantro Jalapeno Sauce

  • 2 Jalapeno chopped 
  • 2 cups cilantro chopped 
  • 2tbsp lemon juice 
  • 1 clove garlic chopped fine 
  • 1/2 tsp sugar 
  • 1 tbsp Greek Yoghurt 
  • 1tsp cumin powder 
  • 2 tbsps. olive oil 
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Direction

Quinoa, Black Beans and Corn Patties

  1. In a mixing bowl, mash black beans and corn together 
  2. Add the cooked quinoa and rest of the herbs and spices.  
  3. Combine everything together and keep it aside for 1/2 hr.  
  4. Make it into patties and keep aside. 
  5. Heat the Grill pan and put avocado oil.  
  6. When the oil is hot, Place the patties and roast it on both sides till golden brown.  
  7. Keep aside to cool down. 

Cilantro, Jalapeno Sauce

  1. Combine jalapenos, cilantro, Greek yoghurt, garlic, salt and pepper in the bowl of a food processor.  
  2. With the motor running, add olive oil and lemon juice until blended well. 

Toppings for the Burger

  1. 6-8 Sturdy lettuce leaves so that it’s easy to hold and eat. 
  2. 1 medium cucumber sliced 
  3. 2 tomatoes sliced  
  4. 1 medium onion sliced  
  5. 1 small yellow bell pepper sliced  
  6. 1small green bell pepper sliced   
  7. 3-4 slices of Mozzarella  

Serving Suggestions

  1. Take a big leaf of lettuce and apply a thin layer of Mayonnaise. 
  2. Place a patty on top of a lettuce leaf  
  3. Layer a slice of mozzarella cheese a slice of onion, bell pepper and few slices of tomatoes.  
  4. Top it up with salt and pepper and close it with another lettuce like a sandwich.  
  5. Serve with the hot sauce or cilantro chutney/sauce.
